DESCRIPTION: The eriophyid mite-induced gall here is seen as a green or reddish rounded pouch on the upperside of the leaf. On the underside there is a small-slit like opening which is hairy on the inside and where the mites dwell. DISTRIBUTION: Frequent but local in England, Scotland and Wales. HABITAT: Founds on the leaves of various Willows. |
